Job summary

Wolfoods, Inc. seeks an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a seasonal on-site role at rural camp facilities across the United States. You will lead kitchen operations, oversee prep and production, manage staff, and ensure allergen safety and high-quality, scratch cooking.

This live-in position runs May–September with a demanding 6-day/70-hour week. Competitive pay, a performance bonus, free room & board, and travel allowances are provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, scratch baking skills, ability to use iPad and adapt to diverse ingredients; sharp problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee prep and production for designated day part; ensure scratch cooking execution.
• Maintain allergen safety protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and sanitary standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
