Job summary

The Salvation Army in the United States is hiring a Christmas Kettle Assistant to support bell ringing and related logistics during the Christmas campaign. The role focuses on data entry, scheduling, transport, and ensuring smooth kettle operations under Corps Officers supervision.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Local travel is required, with a temporary status through December 24.

Qualifications

• Must have good moral character and be able to interact in a friendly, compassionate manner.
• Pass pre-employment background inquiry and motor vehicle check with valid license.
• High school diploma or equivalent; customer-service experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Data entry and use of the Register to Ring to coordinate kettle sites and routes.
• Enter kettle totals daily and manage payroll for bell ringers.
• Coordinate scheduling and thank volunteer groups.
• Transport kettles and bell ringers to locations as needed.
• Answer inquiries from bell ringers, sites, drivers, and others.
• Ensure kettle issues are addressed with corps officers.
• Support bank deposits and kettle fund sorting.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere and professional communication.
• Comply with The Salvation Army Safe from Harm certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
