Job summary

The Salvation Army in the United States is seeking a Christmas Kettle Assistant to support bell ringing and related logistics for the annual campaign. You will help coordinate kettle sites, assist transportation, and handle inquiries while upholding the mission and safety standards.

This seasonal role requires flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a focus on ensuring smooth operations and volunteer appreciation. Prior customer service experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Must have good moral character and interact in a friendly, compassionate manner.
• Background check and annual motor vehicle check with a valid driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent; customer service experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Responsibilities

• Data entry and use of Register to Ring to coordinate kettle sites and daily totals.
• Assist transportation of kettles and bell ringers to locations.
• Field inquiries from bell ringers, sites, drivers and others.
• Resolve kettle issues with corps officers.
• Sort kettle funds and deliver to the bank as needed.
• Maintain positive, courteous work environment and professional communication.
• Comply with The Salvation Army Safe from Harm certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
