Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Operations Technical Specialist to support the readiness of its seasonal tax office network. You will help open, run, and close offices, assist with equipment installation, inventory, and brand compliance across multiple locations, reporting to DOCs and TIAs.

This role requires independent work, reliable transportation, and strong problem-solving abilities. The position emphasizes hands-on operational and technical support, including basic hardware troubleshooting

Qualifications

Ability to follow directions with sound judgment.
Ability to lift/move up to 55+ pounds.
Basic technical knowledge: setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware.
Comfort working independently in a fast-paced seasonal role.
Strong organization and prioritization; able to multitask.
Reliable transportation to travel between offices.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication across channels (oral, written, in person).
Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Teams, Office applications.

Responsibilities

Support setup, opening, closure, and relocation of seasonal offices per schedule.
Execute office setup activities and confirm brand compliance.
Perform custodial tasks to keep offices clean and ready.
Perform routine maintenance (bulbs, tiles, vents, minor repairs).
Identify issues and notify DOC for certified technicians.
Install, remove, and support PC hardware across offices.
Troubleshoot hardware issues and document resolutions.
Deliver supplies to/from offices in a timely, organized manner.
Maintain inventory of resources and equipment.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of supported systems.
Partner with district leadership to support readiness goals.
Complete required training and duties as assigned.
