Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Operations Technical Specialist to ensure office readiness across the seasonal tax office network. You’ll support setup, openings, closures, and relocations, install branding elements, and handle routine maintenance and inventory across multiple offices.

Work involves hands-on technical and logistical tasks, coordinating with DOCs and TIAs, traveling between locations, and delivering timely supplies.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow direction while exercising good judgment in a field-based environment.
• Able to lift and move office equipment up to 55 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Basic technical knowledge to set up, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware and office tech.
• Comfort working independently in a fast-paced seasonal role with a flexible schedule.
• Demonstrated organization and prioritization; handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Must have reliable transportation to travel between offices as needed.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills for in-person, chat, and email interactions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and other Office apps.

Responsibilities

• Support setup, opening, closure, and relocation of seasonal offices per schedules and standards.
• Execute office setup activities including planograms, window clings, lightboxes, and brand checks.
• Perform custodial tasks to keep offices clean and ready for operation.
• Conduct minor building maintenance and resolve small issues; notify technicians as needed.
• Install, remove, and support PC hardware across multiple locations with guidance.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware issues and document incidents and resolutions.
• Deliver supplies to and from offices in a timely and organized manner.
• Maintain inventory of district resources and computer equipment.
• Keep technical knowledge up to date and partner with leadership to meet readiness goals.
• Participate in required training and perform other duties as assigned.
