Job summary

H&R Block seeks a Seasonal Operations Technical Specialist to support the readiness of its seasonal tax office network. You will ensure offices are fully equipped, functional, and aligned with brand standards through hands-on operational, technical, and logistical support.

You'll work with DOCs and TIAs to open, operate, and close offices, install hardware, maintain facilities, manage inventory, and ensure timely delivery of supplies across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Basic technical knowledge for setting up, maintaining and troubleshooting computer hardware and office tech.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 55 pounds or more.
• Comfort working independently in a fast-paced, field-based seasonal role.

Responsibilities

• Support the setup, opening, closure, and relocation of seasonal tax offices per schedules.
• Install and confirm brand compliance (window clings, lightboxes, open signs).
• Perform custodial tasks to keep offices clean and ready for operation.
• Perform routine maintenance (bulbs, tiles, HVAC vents, minor repairs).
• Identify issues needing certified technicians and notify DOCs.
• Install, remove, and support PC hardware across locations with guidance from DOCs/TIAs.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware issues and document incidents in the case system.
• Deliver supplies and maintain inventory of district resources and equipment.
• Keep up-to-date technical knowledge of supported products and systems.
• Partner with district leadership to support office readiness goals.
• Participate in required training and other duties as assigned.
