Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Operations Technical Specialist to support the readiness of our seasonal tax office network. You will help open, operate, and close offices, set up hardware and signage, and ensure brand standards are met across multiple locations.

You’ll work closely with DOCs, TIAs, and field leadership, providing hands-on support, troubleshooting, and inventory management while traveling between office sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow direction while exercising sound judgment in a field-based environment.
• Able to lift and move office equipment up to 55 pounds or more.
• Basic technical knowledge: setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware and office tech.
• Comfort working independently in a fast-paced, seasonal role with flexible schedules.
• Strong organization, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Reliable transportation to travel between office locations.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills across channels.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support setup, opening, closure, and relocation of seasonal tax offices.
• Install window clings, lightboxes, planograms, and confirm brand compliance.
• Perform custodial tasks and ensure offices are ready for operation.
• Conduct routine maintenance like replacing bulbs, vents, and minor repairs.
• Notify DOCs about maintenance or facility issues requiring certified technicians.
• Install, remove, and support PC hardware with guidance from DOCs/TIAs.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware issues and document resolutions in the case system.
• Deliver supplies and maintain inventory of district resources and equipment.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of supported products and systems.
