Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Operations Technical Specialist to ensure office readiness across the seasonal tax office network. You will perform hands-on operations, technical setup, and logistics to keep locations compliant and functional.

You will work with District Operations Coordinators and Tech teams to open, operate, and close offices, handling hardware, supplies, and maintenance while adapting to a fast-paced seasonal calendar.

Qualifications

• Follow directions with sound judgment in field environment.
• Lift and move office equipment up to 55 pounds.
• Basic technical knowledge of computer hardware and office technology.
• Independent, fast-paced seasonal role with flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Strong organization and prioritization.
• Reliable transportation to travel between office locations.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to interact with colleagues and vendors.
• Experience with Outlook/Teams/Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Set up, open, close, and relocate seasonal tax offices per schedules.
• Install signage, window clings, lightboxes, and open signs; ensure brand compliance.
• Carry out custodial tasks to keep offices clean and ready.
• Perform building maintenance (bulbs, tiles, HVAC vents, minor repairs).
• Identify issues needing certified technicians and notify DOC.
• Install, remove, and support PC hardware across offices.
• Troubleshoot hardware and document incidents in the case system.
• Deliver supplies between offices and manage inventory.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of supported products and systems.
• Collaborate with district leadership and technology teams on readiness goals.
• Participate in required training and other duties as assigned.
