East Missouri Action Agency is hiring a Seasonal Energy Assistance Receptionist/Technician responsible for determining client eligibility for energy assistance programs and referring clients to agency or community resources. The role also handles incoming calls, mail processing, and other clerical tasks.

Applicants must be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, and demonstrate knowledge of EMAA policies. Prior related experience in energy assistance is preferred; work is 36 hours/week,

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older and possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of EMAA's fuel industry bill payment policies, PSC Cold Weather Rules, and ability to explain them to clients.
• Ability to interpret laws/regulations, work quickly/accurately and handle applications/recipients with professionalism.
• Two years of related work in social services, energy assistance, or public administration preferred.

Responsabilités

• Determine client eligibility for the Low Income Energy Assistance Program and other energy programs.
• Refer clients to agency or community resources as needed.
• Handle incoming calls, process mail, and perform general clerical duties.
