Job summary

The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division is seeking a Seasonal Data Entry Assistant – HR to support the peak hiring season in Southfield, MI. You will help ensure accurate data, assist with onboarding, and provide timely support to HR and payroll functions.

Position Summary:

The Seasonal Data Entry Assistant – HR provides administrative support to ensure an efficient and accurate seasonal hiring and onboarding process. This position helps maintain the integrity of employee information and records while providing timely support to HR and payroll functions during The Salvation Army’s peak seasonal hiring period.

Essential Responsibilities

• Receive and review accuracy of all data from on-line seasonal applications.
• Enter bell ringer new hires into the HRIS.
• Conduct background checks as needed.
• Maintain electronic files and folders for all personnel and hiring documents for bell ringers.
• Assist with payroll of bell ringers, as needed and instructed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• Some college required with education in HR or administration preferred.
• Previous administrative experience, ideally in an HR environment.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong written communication skills, particularly in editing and formatting documents
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines

Computer Skills

• Knowledge of HRIS systems, ADP preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
• Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint
• Willingness to learn new software as needed

Certificates And Licenses
