Job summary

Michaels is seeking a store associate in California. You will help customers shop and locate products, process transactions at the register, and promote our rewards and credit programs.

You’ll participate in truck unloading, stocking, and merchandising to keep the store in stock and well-presented. Candidates should be comfortable with multi-channel tasks (BOPIS/SFS), follow SOPs, and interact with customers in a positive, respectful manner.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle cash accurately and follow POS procedures.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast, friendly checkout experience with accurate cash handling.
• Engage customers in Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card enrollments.
• Educate customers about the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
• Ensure merchandise is in stock and well-merchandised; complete returns/go-back process.
• Support shrink and safety programs and adhere to SOPs.
