Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Store Associate in California to help customers, operate the checkout, and assist with unloading trucks and stocking. You will play a key role in delivering fast, friendly service and supporting Omni-channel processes at the store level.

Responsibilities include promoting rewards programs, assisting with BOPIS/SFS, maintaining planograms, and ensuring in-stock merchandise. This role requires physically active work and adherence to SOPs.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred
• Cash handling and checkout experience preferred
• Able to stand for long periods and move around the store
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
• Provide fast and friendly checkout experience; perform cash handling to standards
• Promote Michaels Rewards and Private Label Credit Card enrollments
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram duties
• Maintain store recovery, in-stock levels, and merchandise returns
• Support shrink and safety programs and adhere to SOPs
