Job summary

Sur La Table seeks a Seasonal Chef Instructor to lead savory and pastry classes in-store, sharing culinary expertise and engaging instruction that supports sales goals. You will deliver hands-on experiences, demonstrate techniques, and keep recipes aligned with brand standards.

As a key brand ambassador, you’ll train and inspire customers while maintaining kitchen setup, safety, and cleanliness. This is a flexible, part-time seasonal role with opportunities to connect with customers and grow

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Degree in culinary arts preferred; extensive culinary experience considered.
• Proficiency in savory cooking and pastry/baking.
• 1–2 years of kitchen operations experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and customer experiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-store culinary classes and hands-on instruction.
• Drive sales by promoting cookware, bakeware and kitchen tools.
• Represent the Sur La Table brand with exceptional customer experience.
• Assist with setup/breakdown of classes and maintain kitchen areas.
• Ensure safety, sanitation and inventory control during events.
