Job summary

The Fresh Market in Asheville, NC is seeking a Seafood Specialist to be the store’s point person for seafood excellence. You’ll ensure product freshness, rotate stock, maintain merchandising standards, and uphold food safety compliance while delivering an exceptional guest experience.

You’ll own seafood inventory accuracy, support promotions and seasonal events, assist with front-end operations as needed, and engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach on the sales floor.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills and multitasking.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Ensure seafood products meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with leadership on ordering and replenishment of seafood items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and proper storage procedures.
• Support promotions and key item transitions with compliant execution.
• Assist with front-end operations as a cashier or in other areas when needed.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach on the sales floor.
