Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Seafood Specialist to lead seafood department excellence, ensuring product freshness, planning accurate presentation, and maintaining food-safety standards. You will own inventory accuracy and rotation while supporting guest engagement and promotions.

This role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and high standards of service in a fast-paced grocery environment. A flexible schedule with weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail, grocery, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Ensure seafood products meet freshness and quality standards with proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment of seafood items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness, with proper receiving/storage procedures.
• Support promotions and seasonal events through item transitions and compliance.
• Assist front-end operations as cashier or in other areas during peak times.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach on the sales floor.
