Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Seafood Specialist to lead the seafood department, ensuring product freshness, accurate rotation, and presentation while supporting guest engagement and promotions. You will own seafood inventory accuracy and compliance with food safety standards in a fast-paced store environment.

This role emphasizes teamwork, excellence in service, and operational integrity, with opportunities to contribute to seasonal events and department readiness throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all seafood products meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment of seafood items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness, ensuring proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Play a key role in compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Support front-end operations during peak business times as a cashier or in other areas.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach when on the sales floor.
