Job summary

The Fresh Market seeks a Seafood Specialist to lead seafood department excellence, ensuring product freshness, accurate merchandising, and strict food-safety standards. You’ll own inventory accuracy and rotation, support guest engagement, and coordinate with leadership for promotions and seasonal events.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work at a fast pace.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all seafood products meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment of seafood items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness, ensuring proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Play a key role in compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Support front-end operations during peak business times as a cashier or in other areas.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach when on the sales floor.
