Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Seafood Specialist to lead seafood department excellence, ensure product freshness, and uphold food safety standards while delivering an exceptional guest experience. You will own inventory accuracy, rotation, and presentation, supporting promotions and seasonal events with teamwork and hospitality.

Ideal candidates bring energy and attention to detail, with prior retail or grocery experience, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Ensure seafood products meet freshness and quality standards.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment of seafood items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness, ensuring proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Play a key role in compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Support front-end operations during peak business times as a cashier or in other areas.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach when on the sales floor.
