Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Seafood Specialist who leads seafood department excellence, ensures product freshness, proper rotation, and presentation while upholding food safety standards. This role focuses on hospitality, teamwork, and delivering an exceptional guest experience.

You will own inventory accuracy, coordinate with leadership on ordering, support peak front-end coverage, and engage guests with a friendly, can-do approach on the sales floor, including promotions and seasonal events.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all seafood products meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment of seafood items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness, ensuring proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Play a key role in compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach on the sales floor.
