Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Seafood Specialist to oversee seafood department excellence, ensuring product freshness, accurate merchandising, and compliance with food safety standards. You will own seafood inventory control and presentation while supporting guest engagement and promotions.

We value detail orientation, teamwork, and hospitality as you help keep the store running smoothly and guest experiences exceptional during busy periods and seasonal events.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Ensure seafood products meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment of seafood items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness, ensuring proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Play a key role in compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Support front-end operations during peak business times as a cashier or in other areas.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach when on the sales floor.
