Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Seafood Specialist to lead freshness, merchandising, and food-safety standards in the seafood department. You will own inventory accuracy, rotation, and presentation while supporting guest engagement and promotions.

This role requires attention to detail, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a customer-first approach. Weekend availability is required, with benefits and growth opportunities provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work at a fast pace.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all seafood products meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment of seafood items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness, ensuring proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Play a key role in compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Support front-end operations during peak business times as a cashier or in other areas.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach when on the sales floor.
