Job summary

Amazon in Denver seeks a cleared Software Development Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable billing, metering, and optimization systems in air-gapped cloud environments.

You will own end-to-end features, mentor juniors, and collaborate with senior engineers while using Java, Rust, Python, Lambda, DynamoDB, and CloudFormation, all within a TS/SCI framework. This role requires active clearance with polygraph and offers growth at AWS scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP, required.
• 3+ years professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph or commensurate clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software systems powering AWS billing, metering, and optimization in air-gapped cloud environments.
• Own features end-to-end: requirements, APIs, data models, robust solutions, and operational excellence.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data quality and reliability.
• Work with Java, Rust, Python, Lambda, DynamoDB, and CloudFormation to scale services.
