Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Denver seeks a Software Development Engineer for the Commerce Platform ADC, Team Mercury. You will design and build software powering billing, metering, and optimization in air‑gapped cloud environments, using Java, Rust, Python, and AWS services.

You will mentor others, own features end‑to‑end, and ensure data integrity and reliability. The role demands a Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance, and offers a chance to impact AWS

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or CSSLP certification (or both).
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of design or architecture experience on systems.
Experience programming in at least one language.
Current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain software powering billing, metering, and optimization in air-gapped cloud environments.
Build scalable solutions and mentor junior team members.
Own features end-to-end: requirements, APIs, data models, implementation, and ops.
