Job summary

Amazon is hiring Software Development Engineers for the Dedicated Cloud (ADC) to build mission-critical cloud services in secure, air-gapped environments for national security customers. You will shape distributed systems, participate in code reviews, and own the lifecycle of your code from design to deployment.

Applicants must obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance and may be sponsored for a commensurate clearance by Amazon.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/CE/DS or a related STEM field OR completed a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in specified fields
• Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language (Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design, build, and operate innovative cloud-based products and services
• Design and develop scalable cloud-native solutions using microservices
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
• Build and maintain resilient distributed systems that are scalable and cost-effective
• Leverage GenAI and AI-powered tools to improve development productivity
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and design patterns
• Work in an agile environment with CI/CD and on-call responsibilities
