Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in the Service Delivery Center to balance hands-on software engineering with project leadership. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support, while remaining close to code and technical decisions.

You will coordinate delivery across distributed teams, mentor engineers, manage dependencies, and communicate with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of software engineering work across planning, design, development, testing, release, and production support.
• Remain hands-on with coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, POC, and complex issue resolution.
• Guide solution design using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, Angular or React, databases, and cloud patterns.
• Plan and manage Agile delivery, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, coordination, and release readiness.
• Coordinate work across geographically distributed teams with clear ownership and timely decisions.
• Mentor engineers through coaching, design reviews, code-quality feedback, and career development conversations.
• Partner with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, security, and clients to translate requirements into deliverables.
• Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks, issues, and delivery metrics; elevate impediments with actions.
• Promote secure development, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and operational readiness.
• Support event-driven and data-processing solutions using Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, or Flink when required.
