Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in the Service Delivery Center to lead end-to-end software delivery while staying hands-on with coding. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams across design, development, testing, deployment, and production support, coordinating across time zones and client stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of technology software development experience, including leading project teams.
• Hands-on coding with Java and Spring Boot, incl. microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Angular or React and guiding full-stack engineering decisions.
• Experience building and deploying enterprise apps on a major cloud platform.
• CI/CD, source control, automated tests, container deployments, and code quality gates.
• Agile/Scrum delivery practices and distributed international teams.
• Mentorship and coaching skills for engineering teams.
• Kafka or equivalent event-streaming platform experience.
• Logging/monitoring/observability with Splunk or similar.
• Hadoop, Spark, or Flink knowledge for batch/real-time processing.
• Delivery risk management and client communication; travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software delivery across planning, design, development, testing, release, and production support.
• Remain hands-on with coding, reviews, troubleshooting, and technical proof-of-concepts.
• Guide solution design using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and UI frameworks.
• Plan and manage Agile delivery, including backlog refinement, sprint planning and releases.
• Coordinate work across geographically distributed teams and time zones.
• Mentor engineers through coaching, code-quality feedback, and career development conversations.
• Partner with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, security, and client stakeholders.
• Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks and delivery metrics; elevate impediments with actions.
• Promote secure development, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and operational readiness.
• Support event-driven and data-processing solutions with Apache Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, or Flink when needed.
