Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in the Service Delivery Center to balance hands-on software engineering with project leadership. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support while remaining close to the code and technical decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of technology software development experience with leading project teams or major delivery workstreams.
• Hands-on coding with Java and Spring Boot, including microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Angular or React and guiding full-stack engineering decisions.
• Experience deploying enterprise apps on a major cloud platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of software engineering work across planning, design, development, testing, release, and production support.
• Remain hands-on with coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, POCs, and complex engineering issues.
• Guide solution design using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, Angular or React, databases, and cloud-native patterns.
• Plan and manage Agile delivery, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, coordination, and releases.
• Coordinate work across geographically distributed teams and ensure clear ownership and timely decisions.
• Mentor engineers, provide design reviews, code-quality feedback, and career development support.
• Partner with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, security, and client stakeholders to translate requirements into delivery plans.
• Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks, and delivery metrics; communicate progress and escalate impediments with actions.
• Promote secure development, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and operational readiness.
• Support event-driven and data-processing solutions using Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, Flink when required.
