Job summary

Beacon Mobility's Van Pool Transportation is hiring an LLCA Driver to safely transport students to school and events in the Waltham area. You’ll perform pre-trip inspections, drive assigned routes, and communicate professionally with families and school staff. This part-time, split-shift (AM/PM) position runs weekdays only with no nights or holidays.

Paid training at $20/hour; regular pay $24.41/hour. A School Pupil Transport (7D) certificate is required or training is provided.

• Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and 7D physical.
• Communicate effectively in English (spoken & written).

Responsibilities

Van Pool Transportation LLCA Driver

Responsible for transporting clients from their pickup point to their destination in a timely and safe manner. Using a vehicle to successfully transport people, performing pre‑trip inspections, performing child checks post‑route, and keeping their vehicle within DOT regulations are the most important tasks of the driver.

Payment & Schedule

Pay: $24.41/hour

Paid Training: $20/hour

Schedule: Part‑time, split shift (AM/PM) Weekdays only — no nights, weekends, or holidays

Weekly pay + guaranteed minimum hours

What You’ll Do

• Safely transport students to and from school and events. May include assisting students enter/exit vehicle and using specialized safety equipment (belts, car seats, booster seats, etc)
• Drive assigned routes
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff
• Follow all state/local traffic laws and school district policies

Requirements

• School Pupil Transport (7D) Certificate (or willingness to obtain — we train!)
• Safe driving record
• Age 21+ with at least 3 years of driving experience
• Ability to pass background check , drug screening, & 7D physical
• Effectively communicate in English (spoken & written)
• Must live in the Waltham,Belmont,Lexington,Bedford or Burlington area.
