Job summary

Beacon Mobility is seeking a Driver for Van Pool Transportation to transport students to and from school and events in Massachusetts. You will drive assigned routes, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and maintain a clean, safe vehicle in accordance with DOT regulations.

The role offers part-time hours with split shifts (AM/PM), weekdays only, no nights, weekends, or holidays. Paid training is provided; safety and customer service are prioritized, with opportunities for extra hours via

Qualifications

• Age 21+ with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• School Pupil Transport (7D) Certificate (or willingness to obtain — we train!).
• Safe driving record.
• Ability to pass background check, drug screening, & 7D physical.
• Effectively communicate in English (spoken & written).
• Must live in the Waltham, Belmont, Lexington, Bedford or Burlington area.

Job description

Van Pool Transportation LLCA Driver

Responsible for transporting clients from their pickup point to their destination in a timely and safe manner. Using a vehicle to successfully transport people, performing pre‑trip inspections, performing child checks post‑route, and keeping their vehicle within DOT regulations are the most important tasks of the driver.

Payment & Schedule

Pay: $24.41/hour

Paid Training: $20/hour

Schedule: Part‑time, split shift (AM/PM) Weekdays only — no nights, weekends, or holidays

Weekly pay + guaranteed minimum hours

What You’ll Do

• Safely transport students to and from school and events. May include assisting students enter/exit vehicle and using specialized safety equipment (belts, car seats, booster seats, etc)
• Drive assigned routes
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff
• Follow all state/local traffic laws and school district policies
