Job summary

West Catholic Preparatory High School seeks a School Help Desk Technician to manage the school’s IT, computer systems, and classroom technology integration. The role reports to the President and Principal and follows Archdiocese technology policies.

The technician will deploy devices, maintain systems, handle tickets, manage inventory, and support network security and budgeting for the technology department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field recommended.
• Previous help desk or building IT experience highly preferred.
• Network and hardware certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and maintain technology systems including workstations, laptops, Chromebooks, printers, projectors and interactive boards.
• Deploy and maintain student devices.
• Process work orders through the school ticketing system.
• Assist in preparing purchase orders and verify technology purchases.
• Install and maintain software and manage licensing agreements.
• Maintain inventory of equipment and generate reports for administration.
• Oversee the school phone system.
• Record service incidents in the central Help Desk system.
• Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.
• Develop, manage and track the IT budget.
• Attend meetings related to technology.
• Maintain Windows servers with Active Directory and local networks.
• Serve as liaison to the Office of Catholic Education on tech issues.
