Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support a student one-on-one in a school setting. This full-time, onsite role focuses on delivering expert care to a student with trach and ventilator needs during the school day, ensuring safety and inclusive learning.

You will monitor medical equipment, coordinate with school staff and families, and document health information per school policies.

Qualifications

• Current and valid LPN license issued by PA.
• Experience with trach and vent management.
• Experience in school settings or pediatric populations preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent documentation abilities.

Job description

Step into a contract opportunity supporting a student one-on-one as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) within a dynamic educational environment. Your primary responsibility will be providing expert care to a student with trach and ventilator needs throughout each school day, ensuring not only their safety but their access to a positive and inclusive learning experience. This full-time, onsite position offers 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, spanning the entire school year from September through June.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct, hands-on nursing care for a student with trach and vent support needs in a school setting
• Monitor and maintain all necessary medical equipment during school hours
• Collaborate closely with school staff, families, and medical professionals to meet the students care plan
• Document care and communicate pertinent health-related information as required by school policies
• Respond promptly to urgent or emergent health events with professionalism and skill

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current and valid LPN license issued by the state of Pennsylvania
• Familiarity and demonstrated competence with trach and vent management
• Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to supporting students educational access
• Excellent documentation and communication abilities
