Job summary

Schoolforce Solutions is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one nursing support for a student in a school setting. This role offers the chance to help a student safely access education while collaborating with school staff and the student’s healthcare team.

As an LPN, you will administer medications, monitor health, assist with ADLs, manage medical equipment, document care, communicate with families and clinicians, and uphold HIPAA and district policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Arizona LPN license in good standing.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience with pediatric patients or students with special needs preferred.
• Experience with tracheostomy care, G-tubes, seizures, or diabetes care is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one nursing care for an assigned student throughout the school day.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered by the physician and school.
• Monitor health status and respond to changes in condition.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
• Monitor and maintain medical equipment (feeding tubes, suction, oxygen, etc.).
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid within LPN scope.
• Document care, treatments, medications, and observations accurately.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and healthcare providers.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA, FERPA, and district policies.
• Promote a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Job description

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one nursing support for a student in a school setting. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping a student safely access their education while collaborating with school staff and the student's healthcare team.

Hourly Rate Range: $31.00-$36.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one nursing care for an assigned student throughout the school day.
• Administer medications, treatments, and medical procedures as ordered by the student's physician and authorized by the school.
• Monitor the student's health status and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility, feeding, toileting, and personal care, as needed.
• Monitor and maintain medical equipment such as feeding tubes, suction equipment, oxygen, tracheostomy care, or other specialized medical devices, if applicable.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid within the scope of LPN practice.
• Accurately document nursing care, treatments, medications, and observations.
• Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, Registered Nurses, and other healthcare providers regarding the student's needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, FERPA, and district policies.
• Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program.
• Active Arizona Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience working with pediatric patients, medically fragile children, or students with special needs is preferred.
• Experience with tracheostomy care, G-tubes, seizure management, diabetes care, or other specialized medical needs is preferred but not required for all assignments.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with school personnel and supervising Registered Nurses.
• Must meet all Arizona Department of Education, district, and school employment requirements, including background clearances.
