Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) for a contracted, school-based 1:1 placement in Scranton, PA for the 26/27 school year. This full-time role provides nursing services in a K-12 district with clinical backing and team support.

You'll maintain continuous observation, manage chronic conditions, and administer medications per care plans, with dedicated RN support and professional growth opportunities. Competitive W-2 compensation applies.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Pennsylvania required.
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification required.
• Experience with pediatric care and school-based nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous observation of the assigned student during the school day.
• Support chronic condition management and assist with care plans and procedures.
• Provide first aid and medication administration as outlined in orders.
• Document care and communicate with school teams and RN.
• Accompany student during transportation and community activities as assigned.
• Report significant status changes to supervising RN and family.

Job description

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Scranton, PA for the 26/27 school year! This is a full-time private duty/1:1 role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Active LPN License in Pennsylvania
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification
• Demonstrated competency in the specific skills required for the assigned student including:
  • Pediatric skillset
  • Seizure management - competent with seizure action plans and rescue medications
  • Oxygen and airway management
  • Medication administration
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently
• Ability to safely implement physician orders and care plans within LPN scope of practice
• School-based experience highly preferred

WHAT YOU'LL DO

COMPENSATION:$32-$37/hr * W-2 Contract * Scranton, PA
