Job summary

Kansas City Public Schools seeks a School Business Analyst to manage student activity funds and related financial processes at the local school site, following established accounting procedures.

You will prepare cash receipts, post to the ALIO system, monitor bank deposits, reconcile accounts, and maintain secure accounting records. The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork across site staff.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Business Administration or 6 accounting credits with relevant bookkeeping experience.
• Proficiency with Windows, Excel, Access, Word.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the chart of accounts for student activity bank accounts and ALIO system.
• Prepare cash receipts and post to accounting system daily/weekly.
• Obtain approvals for invoice payments and maintain supporting documents.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and required reports for Supervisor.
• Maintain club sponsor lists and approved detailed invoices.
• Process school orders using ALIO Financial Management System.
• Monitor outstanding purchase orders and receipt of goods online.
• Cross-train with other staff and participate in annual payroll processing training.
