Job summary

Kansas City Public Schools is seeking a Part-time Data Analyst to collect, analyze, clean, display, and report data from internal systems. The role supports the Federal Programs department and reports to the Director of Professional Learning & Federal Programs.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and has hands-on experience with large data sets, databases, and data quality tools. Part-time position with modest hours and no benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in education, computer science, technology, or research-related field.
• Three years’ experience with management and analysis of large data sets.
• Three years’ experience with relational databases and related software packages.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheets and graphics.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to meet priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to multitask in a changing environment.
• Confidentiality in work-related areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collection of data for state reporting.
• Auditing data in Infinite Campus.
• Use data health checks to improve data integrity.
• Provide support for buildings and departments entering data.
• Develop relationships with DESE core data departments.
• Other duties as assigned.
