Job summary

HES is hiring a Licensed HVAC Technician in Connecticut. Must hold an S-1 license for CT and have 3–5 years of experience. The role focuses on chiller operation, boiler control, preventive maintenance, and diagnostics of heating and ventilation systems for educational facilities.

Responsibilities include on-site maintenance, on-call support, and cross-trade collaboration. A strong mechanical aptitude and valid driver's license are required. Benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2-year HVAC vocational or apprenticeship training.
• Journeyman HVAC license required.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC desired.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in chiller operation and repair; troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
• Operate and maintain steam boiler and pressure vessel equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment and controls.
• Inspect and diagnose heating/ventilation systems; respond to alarms and outages.
• Maintain documentation of work orders, parts, and manhours.
• Support other trades and on-call duties as required.
