Job summary

HES Facilities Management is seeking a Licensed HVAC Technician with a CT S-1 license and 3-5 years of HVAC experience for on-site work in Hartford, CT. The role requires boiler/steam experience, preventive maintenance, and fault diagnosis across heating and ventilating systems.

A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Candidates must have a journeyman license, a valid driver's license, and basic hand tools. Responsibilities include documentation, equipment checks, and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 2-year Military, Vocational or apprentice HVAC training.
• Journeyman HVAC license.
• Five years of commercial HVAC experience.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Basic hand tools required.
• Know how to perform Lock out Tag out procedures.
• Basic CMMS and BAS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and repair HVAC systems and controls.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and on-call support as needed.
• Document work orders, parts requirements and activity reports.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in heating/ventilating equipment.
• Respond to alarms and assist other trades as required.
