Job summary

HES Facilities is seeking a Licensed HVAC Technician in Connecticut with a minimum S-1 license and 3–5 years of experience. The role focuses on operating, maintaining, and repairing heating and ventilation systems across educational facilities.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnostic checks, and ensuring safety and compliance with lockout/tagout procedures. A valid CT license and driving license are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; 2-year HVAC training or equivalent experience.
• Licenses: Journeyman HVAC; CT S-1 license preferred.
• Experience: 5 years in commercial HVAC; valid driver’s license; strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heating and ventilation systems and controls.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on boilers, chillers, and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems and document work completed.
