Job summary

American Heart Association is seeking a School Engagement Associate to support the Development team and participating schools across the Western States region in a hybrid role. You will handle communications planning, website coordination, data entry, and donor interactions to advance heart-healthy initiatives.

The temporary position runs from October 2026 through May 2027, with local travel and flexible hours to engage with schools and events.

Qualifications

• Three years minimum prior relevant work experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to do daily local travel; reliable transportation.
• Work from home and in the field per policy.
• Proactive communication and independent work style.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Extensive data management in CRMs; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• School Communication Plan Management: coordinate school communications for two teams.
• Website Coordination: assist with password management, email permissions, school webpages.
• Administrative Support: manage school contact info, labels, mailings, customer service by email/phone.
• Data Management: maintain information in MS Dynamics and Blackbaud; update notes/contacts.
• Fundraising Support: assist fundraisers with meetings, assemblies, and materials.
