Job summary

Harford County Public Schools seeks a Custodian I – Shift 2 at Church Creek School to perform routine cleaning, maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment.

Responsibilities include floor care, trash disposal, furniture moving up to 50 pounds, restroom upkeep, window cleaning, snow removal, and other duties as assigned. Requires high school diploma or GED (or equivalent) and ability to lift up to 50 lbs; valid driver’s license may be required. Benefits included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum ninth grade education required.
• One year of custodial experience preferred.
• Physically able to perform essential duties including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment and cleans floors in classrooms, offices, and corridors.
• Operates custodial equipment such as mops, buffers, and vacuums.
• Collects and disposes of trash and maintains lavatories.
• Moves furniture and equipment up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Cleans windows, fixtures, and other surfaces; assists in snow removal.
• Performs lawn and playground maintenance and other duties as assigned.
