Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time LifeWise vehicle driver to transport public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a mature Christian faith aligned with the academy’s beliefs and a clean driving record.

Qualified candidates will hold a valid driver\'s license (CDL with P endorsement for larger vehicles when required) and pass background and drug tests. The position is non-exempt and hourly, with compliance to safety and supervision of students during transport.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with the Statement of Faith.
• Regular driver\'s license; continuously licensed for the past 3 years.
• Appropriate special licenses: CDL with endorsement (P) for passenger vehicles; 15-passenger van requires no special license.
• Age 21–80; those over 75 must submit additional documentation annually.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in 5 years.
• Background check through LifeWise Academy.
• Physician\'s Statement required for drivers with known medical conditions.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing required pre-employment, annually, and after incidents.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and mechanical safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create a safe environment for children and enforce safety rules.
• Assist with entering/exiting the vehicle and stay aware of misbehaving students.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if agreed with the Director.
