Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. The ideal candidate is responsible, punctual, and maintains a clean driving record.

You will perform daily vehicle inspections, keep the bus clean, refuel when needed, and ensure a safe environment for children. The role requires adherence to LifeWise policies, background checks, and drug testing.

Qualifications

• CDL driver’s license with endorsement for driving a passenger vehicle (P) is required; School bus (S) endorsement preferred.
• Age 21–80 years; any driver above 75 must submit CDL and (P) endorsement annually.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in the last five years.
• Background check through LifeWise Academy and drug/alcohol testing as required.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus and refuel as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules and assist students in entering/exiting the vehicle.
• Complete required LifeWise Academy training and participate in LifeWise classroom activities if agreed.
