Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. Candidates must have a CDL with P endorsement, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass background and drug tests.

Duties include safe driving, bus inspections, and maintaining a safe environment for children, with training provided. Eligible applicants should meet age 21-80, be active in a local church aligned with our faith, and are expected to comply with all

Qualifications

• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in the last five years.
• Background check through LifeWise Academy.
• Complete drug and/or alcohol testing as required (pre-employment, annual random tests, and after incidents).
• Undergo physician's statement if you have known medical conditions as required.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular bus inspections.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children.
• Enforce safety rules for students.
• Assist students with entering or exiting the vehicle as needed.
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor.
• Be aware of students needing help or who are misbehaving.
• Complete LifeWise Academy training.
