Job summary

LifeWise Academy is hiring a part-time CDL bus driver to transport students and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. The role emphasizes safety, punctuality, and a calm, caring demeanor while adhering to all laws and school policies.

The ideal candidate will hold a CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement (P), maintain a clean driving record, and pass required background, MVR, FMCSA Clearinghouse checks, and drug testing. Participation in LifeWise activities encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must hold a CDL with endorsement for driving a passenger vehicle (P); school bus (S) is preferred.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in the last five years.
• CDL must have been continuously licensed for the past three years.
• Must pass background, MVR, and FMCSA Clearinghouse checks and drug/alcohol testing.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the bus.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Enforce safety rules and assist students entering/exiting the vehicle.
• Complete required LifeWise training and participate in classroom activities if agreed.
