Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a LifeWise CDL bus driver to provide safe, reliable transport for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The driver should be punctual, responsible, and maintain a clean driving record while adhering to LifeWise policies.

The role involves transporting students and volunteers, ensuring bus safety and cleanliness, and conducting routine vehicle inspections. Compliance with background, drug testing, and annual policy training is required.

Qualifications

• CDL license with P endorsement required.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents in 5 years.
• Background check and drug testing required.
• Driver must be at least 21 and no more than 80 years old.
• CDL license must have been held continuously for the past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and drive safely at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children and enforce safety rules.
• Assist students entering and exiting the vehicle and monitor behavior.
