Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a CDL bus driver to provide safe transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. You will uphold safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance while fostering a caring environment for children.

The role requires a CDL with passenger endorsement, a clean driving record, and successful background/drug testing. Participation in LifeWise classroom activities may be requested by the director.

Qualifications

• Mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church with aligned doctrine.
• CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement required; school bus endorsement preferred.
• Continuous licensure for past three years; clean driving record last five years.
• Must pass background check and drug/alcohol testing as required.
• Annual submission of Physician's Statement for medical conditions as needed.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and volunteers to and from LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create a safe environment for students and enforce safety rules.
• Assist students with entering/exiting and monitor behavior.
• Complete LifeWise Academy training and participate in classroom volunteering when possible.
