Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. Role requires a clean driving record, FMCSA checks, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualified applicants will hold a CDL with a passenger (P) endorsement; a school bus (S) endorsement is preferred. Candidates should be mature, faithful to LifeWise beliefs, and willing to undergo background checks and drug testing.

Qualifications

• CDL with passenger vehicle (P) endorsement required.
• S endorsement preferred.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault incidents in the last 5 years.
• Background check and MVR clearance required; FMCSA Clearinghouse check.
• Annual CDL license and P endorsement renewal for drivers over 75.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus; perform regular inspections.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed; ensure safe environment for students.
• Enforce safety rules; assist students entering/exiting; stay calm and caring.
• Complete required LifeWise Academy training.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if approved by the director.
