Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a LifeWise CDL bus driver to provide safe transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The ideal candidate is punctual, responsible, and maintains a clean driving record while supporting a faith-based environment.

Responsibilities include transporting students, enforcing safety rules, performing bus inspections, and assisting with boarding. Training is required, with possible classroom volunteering as agreed.

Qualifications

• CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement (P) required.
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in 5 years.
• Background check and drug/alcohol testing required.
• Medical statements for known conditions may be required.
• Age 21–80; proof of license and endorsements as specified.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus safety and cleanliness.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel when needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
• Assist students entering or exiting the vehicle and monitor behavior.
• Complete LifeWise Academy training; optional classroom volunteer as agreed.
