Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time CDL bus driver to transport students and LifeWise volunteers safely to and from the LifeWise site. Candidates must meet CDL requirements with a passenger endorsement (P) and ideally hold a School Bus (S) endorsement, maintain a clean driving record, and pass background and FMCSA Clearinghouse checks.

Applicants must be willing to undergo drug/alcohol testing and provide a yearly Physician's Statement if required, with a mature, caring approach and

Qualifications

• CDL license with passenger vehicle endorsement (P) required.
• School bus endorsement (S) preferred.
• Age 21–80 years.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in last 5 years.
• Background check through LifeWise Academy.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse check clearance.
• Drug/alcohol testing required (pre-employment, random, post-accidents).
• Yearly Physician's Statement for medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain bus cleanliness and mechanical safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Enforce safety rules for students.
• Assist students entering/exiting the vehicle as needed.
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor.
• Identify students needing help or showing misbehavior.
• Complete LifeWise Academy training.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if agreed with director.
