Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a LifeWise CDL bus driver to provide safe transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. A mature Christian faith, active church involvement, clean driving record, and ability to pass background and drug tests are required.

CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement is required; School bus endorsement is preferred. This is a part-time, non-exempt position with local duties.

Qualifications

• Mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in a local church with aligned doctrine
• Clean driving record and no at-fault accidents in last five years
• Willingness to undergo background check and LifeWise drug/alcohol testing
• CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement (P) required; School bus (S) endorsement preferred

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and safety
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children and enforce safety rules
• Assist students entering/exiting the bus and respond calmly to misbehavior
• Complete LifeWise Academy training and participate in Classroom volunteering if directed
